Aig Announces Executive Appointments In Its Private Client Group

NEW YORK, Jan 23, 2006 -- American International Group, Inc. (AIG) has announced that Charles Williamson has been appointed President of the AIG Private Client Group, which serves the insurance and risk management needs of high net worth individuals. He succeeds Ross Buchmueller, who has left the organization.

Christopher L. Sparro, who had served as the Zonal Executive for Domestic General Insurance in the AIG Greater New York Region, succeeds Mr. Williamson as President of AIG WorldSource, which serves the insurance needs of U.S.-based clients with international exposures as well as foreign clients with U.S. exposures. Douglas M. Worman, who had been President of the Public Company Management Liability Division of AIG's National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, Pa., succeeds Mr. Sparro as Zonal Executive for the Greater New York region.

Charles Williamson joined the AIG Companies in 1988 and has served as Senior Vice President, Domestic Brokerage Group Sales and Marketing, Executive Vice President of the Excess Casualty unit of AIG's American Home Assurance Company, and Senior Vice President, Casualty, for AIG Risk Management. He is a graduate of Marshall University and holds a J.D. from St. John's University.

Christopher Sparro joined the AIG Companies in 1990 and has held several senior level positions in National Union's Management Liability Division, as well as President of AIG's Domestic Brokerage Group Middle Market Division and Commercial Accounts Division. He holds a BBA and MBA from Hofstra University.

Douglas Worman, who joined National Union in 1992 as a management liability underwriter, had held positions of increasing responsibility within National Union. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University.
