Conseco Hires Mark Cecil as Vice President

Carmel, Ind. January 18, 2006 -- The Conseco Insurance Group announced that Mark A. Cecil has been named vice president, new business development. In this position, Cecil is responsible for developing and managing agent value programs for Conseco-contracted independent agents. These programs—including practice management, agent education, lead generation, and business continuation—are designed to provide support and financial incentives to Conseco’s independent agents.

Cecil reports to Brad Corbin, executive vice president of sales for the Conseco Insurance Group (CIG).

Before joining CIG, Cecil was employed as managing director of Independence Plus, Inc. of Kansas City, Missouri. At Independence Plus, he provided consulting services to independent financial advisors in the retirement market. Prior to that, Cecil worked in various marketing and internal audit roles for Janus Capital Group, PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, and the University of Missouri.

Cecil served more than 20 years in the United States Navy and Navy Reserve before retiring from service in 2005. He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Southwest Missouri State University and holds M.B.A. and M.S. degrees from the University of Missouri–Kansas City.
