Champions Life Insurance Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Insmark Company, and it owns all of the outstanding shares of Central Security Life Insurance Company. Although licensed to write life and accident and health insurance in Texas, Champions writes no direct business. The Company primarily engages in the acquisition of entire life insurance companies and the assumption reinsurance of blocks of business.
Champions were incorporated and commenced insurance operations on December 22, 1952. They purchased the company in 1976. It has approximately 23,500 policies in force.
Central Security Life Insurance Company is their flagship company. The Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Champions Life and it owns all outstanding shares of Western American Life Insurance Company. CSLIC is licensed to do business in all states except: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Iowa, Maine, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington and Wisconsin. Central Security accepts business written by approximately 200 independent agents, brokers, and funeral directors.
