The BCBSM Foundation is the philanthropic affiliate of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. The BCBSM Foundation focuses its funding within Michigan on the following priorities Quality & Costs of Care, Access to Care, and Community Health. Approximately $2.5 million is available annually for grants to support the health care related work of Michigan's researchers and nonprofit community organizations. The BCBSM Foundation programs support research, foster community solutions to critical health care problems, acknowledge excellence in research, and support medical and doctoral students interested in health care.

BlueHealthConnection, their collection of health management programs, is designed to provide information, assistance and resources to help their members take charge of their health.
