ARD, JAMY. MD
Jamy D. Ard, MD is an assistant professor of nutrition sciences, with a secondary appointment in general internal medicine. A summa cum laude graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, where he attended on an academic scholarship, Dr. Ard completed his MD degree at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Jamy D. Ard completed an internal medicine residency at Duke and served as chief resident. He subsequently completed a clinical research fellowship in hypertension at Duke, followed by a fellowship at the Center for Health Services Research in Primary Care at Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Jamy D. Ard’s clinical interest’s center on cardiovascular risk reduction and his current research focuses on behavior modification to treat obesity. He is planning a multidisciplinary cardiovascular risk reduction clinic at The Kirklin Clinic.
Currently Jamy D. Ard has coauthored manuscripts for the peer-reviewed publications Journal of the National Medical Association, Archives of Internal Medicine, Hypertension, Journal of the American Dietetic Association, Journal of Clinical Hypertension, Ethnicity and Disease, and Annals of Internal Medicine.
