BORKOWSKI DOUGLAS; MD
Douglas Borkowski, MD is a 1982 graduate of Montclair State University who has returned to provide athletic health care to the athletes at his alma mater. He specializes in Sports Medicine and also has a primary care background. He is the owner and director of Gem Medical Group in Riverdale, NJ. He also provides team physician coverage to Fairleigh Dickinson University and the NJ Jackals. He is a sought after lecturer on Sports Medicine and emergency care issues.
Dr. Borkowski graduated from Pascack Valley Regional High School, Montclair State University, and the New Jersey Medical School, UMDNJ. He is affiliated with the US Olympic Committee and is a regular at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY. He has been chosen several times to travel with US winter sport teams to Europe. Dr. Borkowski is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, American College of Sports Medicine, American Running and Fitness Association, and is a Registered Physician of the USA Amateur Boxing Federation.
