Attention Louisiana Residents Impacted by Hurricane Katrina

Advertising Information for covermehealthinsurance
On August 26, 2005, Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco declared the existence of a state of emergency due to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. We understand that victims of Katrina may be currently unable to act or respond to premium notices and other notices requiring a response due to the disruption of mail services.

American Republic understands the hardships our Louisiana resident policyholders are facing at this time due to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Fortunately, your policy provisions allow a payment grace period of 31 days from the date premium is due. During that grace period, your policy remains in force. In order to assure uninterrupted coverage for our Louisiana resident policyholders who have been affected by Katrina, we are extending the 31-day grace period. If your premium due date is between August 26, 2005 and January 1, 2006, and you need additional time to pay your premium, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible so we can make special arrangements for you. Additionally, up to and including January 1, 2006, we are suspending the out-of-network restriction on prescription refills for all Louisiana resident policies that provide reimbursement for prescription drugs.

Our Customer Service Representatives are available to serve you Monday through Friday 6:30 am through 6:00 pm, Central Standard Time.
