Empire presented with Outstanding Corporation Award
November 17, 2005, Kingston, Ontario - Empire Financial Group (Empire) was honoured today with the Outstanding Corporation award, presented by the Southeastern Ontario Association of Fundraising Professionals for National Philanthropy Day.
Empire was nominated for the award by the local chapter of the Canadian Red Cross in recognition of its corporate and employee response to such fundraising initiatives as the Tsunami Relief Effort and United Way and the company’s ongoing support of and involvement with many organizations in the Southeastern Ontario region.
"I believe that communities are only as strong as the support base provided by its citizens and institutions. We all benefit, in the long run, from a strong, vibrant, supportive community," says Doug Hogeboom, President and CEO of Empire.
