CHEW, KIM; MD
Chew Kim, MD practices anesthesia. What he does and why he does it are the same. He helps patients have a better procedure by administering anesthesia so that they don’t feel or remember it. He believes that patients always come first. He gives them the best anesthetic care possible. He has been with TPMG for 24 years. He likes practicing at Kaiser Permanente because of the family-like environment. Everyone pulls together to work toward their goals and standards. All physicians, nurses, technicians, office workers, and housekeepers provide the best care for their members.
He is a member of the California Medical Association, Alameda Contra Costa Medical Association, California Society of Anesthesiologists, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists. He was born in China and was raised and educated in Myama, Burma and trained as an anesthesiologist in the US.
He works with thedepartment of Anesthesiology. He joined Kaiser in 1980. Apart from English he also knows Burmese and Cantonese. His outside interests are reading and sports. He did his medical schooling from the Institute of Medicine I, Rangoon, Burma.

There are more than 600 Kaiser Permanente physicians are faculty members at schools that include Stanford University, the University of California, San Francisco; and the University of California, Davis.
Kaiser Permanente in Northern and Southern California ranked among the nation’s top 10 health maintenance organizations in a recent report by America’s leading consumer magazine. Readers surveyed in the October 2003 issue of the magazine gave Kaiser Permanente high marks for customer satisfaction and billing services. The ratings were based on more than 42,000 nationwide responses to a questionnaire about readers’ managed care plans. The survey included 49 health maintenance organizations from across the United States.
