DEYOUNG, CLAUDIA; MD
Claudia is a primary care provider who also works in the Breast and Surgery clinic several times a week. As a primary care provider, one of her main goal is to provide comprehensive health care for her patients. Her aim is to practice the bio psycho social model of medicine. She truly enjoys getting to know her patients. Working together as a team, their goal is to make you as healthy as you can be. Quality of life is a very important theme in her practice philosophy. Her specialty is in Internal Medicine.
Before she goes on, she would like to give you a bit of her background. She grew up near Buffalo and Rochester NY; however, she did most of her training in the Boston, MA and Providence, RI areas. Her family moved to Cape Cod, MA several years ago and now she consider both Boston & Buffalo her east-coast homes. She moved out to Sacramento in 2003 and absolutely loves it.
She did a fellowship in Women’s Health and earned her masters degree in Epidemiology through Boston University Medical Center and Boston University School of Public Health, respectively. She is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.
Medicine is what she does but it is not all that she is. Outside the clinic, she is a fitness buff .she love to walk, hike, run and strength train. She also enjoys reading, fine wine, great restaurants and theatre and music and the arts.
