Dr. Tortu was raised in Bristol, Pennsylvania. He completed his undergraduate training at Rowan University in New Jersey and his graduate training at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania. A Clinical Teaching Fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine was additionally completed at PCOM. Post-graduate work was completed in the Kennedy Health System in New Jersey. Licensure in Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery was granted both in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

He is an experienced, fully licensed, Osteopathic Physician who is Fellowship Trained in the art and science of Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment. This is a very gentle, Hands-On method of treating the body to remove restrictions to normal motion, thus enhancing a person’s ability to move freely in day to day activities. It also supports the body’s innate ability to heal itself through the restoration of certain fluid balances.

There is no one who is beyond the realm of this gentle treatment. Dr. Tortu has successfully treated patients from baby through the elderly. By removing restrictions to normal motion of the newborn skull and sacrum from the trauma of the birth process, future developmental problems as well as chronic musculoskeletal complaints can be prevented.
