WU, CHOU, MD.
WU CHOU; MD has been a leader in the development of therapeutic vaccines for the Human Papillomavirus, strongly associated with cervical cancer. He and his team have demonstrated several approaches for improving antigen presentation to antigen specific killer and helper T-cells dramatically enhancing vaccine potency. He has published over 80 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
The doctor received his MD from the College of Medicine at National Taiwan University in July 1982; his post graduate education in epidemiology and molecular virology was obtained at Johns Hopkins University.
Currently he is Research Director of Gynecologic Pathology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Full Professor of Pathology, Molecular Microbiology and Immunology, Oncology, and of Obstetrics and Gynecology and at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Wu Chou; MD has organized or chaired many conferences and has participated in several advisory committees and review groups, as well as journal peer-review activities. He has professional affiliations with a variety of associations.
Over the duration of his career, Dr. Wu Chou, MD has been the recipient of several awards, including the International Academy of Pathology's Binford-Dammin Award and the Passano Foundation's Physician Scientist Award.
